Histogram Charts
from Excel — Instantly

Select any numeric column from your Excel workbook and Graph Plotter builds the frequency distribution automatically. See the full shape of your data in seconds.

What is a Histogram?

A histogram groups continuous data into ranges (bins) and shows how many values fall in each range as a bar. Unlike a bar chart, the bars touch — because the data is continuous, not categorical.

Histograms reveal the shape of your distribution: is it normal? Skewed? Bimodal? Are there outliers? These questions are nearly impossible to answer from a table of numbers.

Common Use Cases

  • Return distributions in finance and portfolio analysis
  • Quality control and process variation analysis
  • Customer spend or transaction value distributions
  • Test scores, survey ratings, and response times
  • Scientific measurement distributions and error analysis
